Alexis Sova, PharmD, MBA
As a clinical advisor, Alexis works alongside the clinical and client solutions teams to provide clinical insight to plan sponsors across the U.S. In this role, she assists in identifying strategies that will help guide clients’ health care decision-making while reducing their health expenditure. Through this position, she also aids in informing clients about new drug data and overall drug trends.
Prior to joining the clinical team at Employers Health, Alexis gained valuable experience as an inpatient, community and medication assistance program intern. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy at The Ohio State University and her undergraduate degree in biological sciences at Ohio University. Alexis also earned her Master of Business Administration with a focus in marketing from Youngstown State University, further strengthening her ability to align clinical strategy with business objectives.
Alexis is actively engaged in the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP), where she has held leadership roles at both the local and national levels, serving as a member of the national Schools of Pharmacy Relations Committee and as the student engagement chair for her local affiliate. She is also a diplomat for The Ohio State University chapter through AMCP and serves on the NEOMED Dean’s Advisory Council. In recognition of her contributions to the profession and her commitment to mentorship, Alexis was named the 2026 AMCP Individual Contribution Award recipient.
