Dr. Lia Rodriguez is a board-certified pediatrician and healthcare executive dedicated to transforming health care through innovation, clinical excellence and strategic partnerships. With a deep passion for improving generational health, she is committed to advancing solutions that enhance health outcomes while making care more accessible and affordable.
Dr. Rodriguez is the vice president of clinical strategy for PSS Product, Payor Solutions & Life Sciences at CVS Health®. In this role, she leads clinical strategy, leveraging data, technology and evidence-based practices to improve the health care experience, optimize health care resources and drive meaningful cost savings.
Since joining CVS Health in 2020, Dr. Rodriguez has held several leadership roles, including chief medical officer at CVS Healthspire Payor Solutions, senior medical director at Aetna Clinical Quality and medical director at Aetna Better Health. Prior to CVS, she led utilization management at Texas Children’s Health Plan and served as medical director of pediatrics for the largest federally qualified health center in Houston, where she worked to expand access to high-quality care for vulnerable populations.
Dr. Rodriguez earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and her medical degree from the University of Miami, followed by a pediatric residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital. She resides in Houston, Texas, with her husband and daughters, and remains deeply committed to shaping a healthcare system that better serves families and communities.
