Tu Doan is a senior clinical advisor, partnering with benefit professionals to develop pharmacy strategies that reduce total cost of care while improving clinical outcomes for plan participants. In his role, Tu analyzes medication utilization patterns to identify formulary gaps, optimize utilization management strategies and uncover opportunities to improve both clinical value and financial performance for plan sponsors. He brings a strong analytical lens to vendor evaluation, assessing clinical programs and digital health solutions to ensure they are evidence‑based, operationally sound and economically competitive. Tu supports plan sponsors by translating complex data into actionable insights, including the development of advanced analytics tools that guide data‑driven decision‑making and long‑term pharmacy strategy.

Prior to joining Employers Health, Tu’s training and professional focus centered on step‑therapy optimization, pharmacy rebate forecasting and database design to support comprehensive medication reviews. His work emphasized aligning clinical appropriateness with financial stewardship to protect patients from low‑value or suboptimal therapy while managing pharmacy spend. Tu earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree and a Bachelor of Science in microbiology from The University of Texas at Austin.
