Rachelle Firestone The Kenan Advantage Group
Rachelle Firestone joined The Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) in June of 2012 as benefits manager and has been the director of benefits since 2014.
Rachelle began her career with Aetna Life Insurance holding various positions within the company. She moved to the employer side in 1997 at YRC Worldwide, Inc. a Fortune 500 transportation provider with over 50,000 employees in the U.S., Canada and Mexico as the benefits administrator.
At The Kenan Advantage Group, she is responsible for the benefit plan design and ongoing monitoring and development of the benefit programs. She is also charged with monitoring the company’s 401(k) plan. Rachelle has harmonized benefits for all 18 subsidiaries since coming to KAG. She has also centralized all benefit functions into the Canton Service Center and manages a team of six.
Rachelle’s expertise lies within benefit plan design, review and recommendation to senior management each renewal along with budgeting and monitoring health care costs; ERISA compliance; ACA reporting and compliance and benchmarking with local and national companies. Her professional affiliations include the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP), Society for Human Resource Management and Employers Health Coalition member. Additionally, she has her Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS designation through the IFEBP).
Rachelle obtained an English degree at The University of Akron and has extensive training in human resources and benefits administration.
