Courtney Meckes First Horizon Bank
Courtney Meckes serves as the vice president, benefits and well-being strategy for First Horizon. She has been with First Horizon nearly fourteen years. In this role, Courtney leads the health and welfare and well-being teams. She is responsible for oversight of administration for all health and welfare and well-being programs. This includes strategy, administration, reporting, compliance, associate education and engagement and communications and marketing for over 20 benefit plans. She has a large role in the advancement of First Horizon’s culture of health and well-being and serves as a HIPAA privacy officer.
In previous roles, Courtney led strategy and process improvement in HR operations and compliance. This includes leading various projects advancing efficiency of operations across multiple functions within HR and the expansiveness of First Horizon’s benefit offerings. She also played a key role in supporting the HR department through merger and acquisition activities at First Horizon.
Courtney has served on the quality council of First Horizon Bank and is a member of several associate resource groups. She participates in First Horizon’s mentorship program as both a mentee and mentor, serving on the HR Culture Committee and the Corporate Culture Firstpower planning committee. She currently serves as a mentor in the North Carolina Emerging Leaders program and is active in her community through various volunteer opportunities.
