(February 1, 2022) – Employers Health is honored to announce Chris vanNatta, as the 2021 recipient of its fifth annual Excellence in Benefits Award. The award is presented to a leader in employee benefits in recognition of his/her meaningful impact to the industry. vanNatta was nominated and unanimously selected by an independent panel of human resources and benefits industry professionals. Nominees were scored on the impact made in the field of employee benefits, achieved outcomes and contributions to the betterment of the overall workplace and community.

He serves as manager of human resources and global benefits at The Timken Company, a global manufacturer of bearings and power transmission products headquartered in North Canton, Ohio. vanNatta serves as an advocate for Timken and its associates. He was instrumental in the creation of the organization’s onsite workout facility, leading the organization and its associates in overall health and wellness. vanNatta is known for his desire and drive to innovate and improve population health, recognizing that a healthy employee is more reliable, more efficient and happier than an unhealthy employee. In addition to his many duties at Timken, he is a lawyer by trade, a former Judge Advocate for the US Air Force, currently serves as a Judge Advocate for the US Air Force Reserve, a husband and father of five.
