Employers Health is honored to announce Theresa O’Callaghan, as the 2020 recipient of its fourth annual Excellence in Benefits Award. The award is presented to a leader in employee benefits in recognition of his/her meaningful impact to the industry.

O’Callaghan was nominated and unanimously selected by an independent panel of human resources and benefits industry professionals. Nominees were scored on the impact made in the field of employee benefits, achieved outcomes and contributions to the betterment of the overall workplace and community.

In her role as the executive director of benefit programs and corporate human resources at Kaman Corporation, a Bloomfield, Connecticut-based manufacturer in the aerospace and defense, industrial and medical markets, she has harmoniously integrated benefits for 16 acquired organizations and their employees, was instrumental in the creation of the organization’s company-branded benefits website, spearheaded an annual vendor summit bringing together all benefits vendors and more. Always leading with her employee-first philosophy, Theresa has worked to provide free diabetic prescriptions to plan participants and created a Kaman care package for any employees undergoing cancer treatment.

She is a member of the Women Advocating Leadership at Kaman Steering Committee, leads the organization’s Charitable Contribution Committee and is a graduate of the Kaman Leadership Development Program.
