John E. Anderson, MD Frist Clinic, Nashville, TN
Dr. John Anderson practices internal medicine and diabetes at the Frist Clinic in Nashville, Tennessee. He has served as president of the multi-specialty clinic, chair of the department of medicine and chair of the Board of Trustees for Centennial Medical Center, a 740-bed tertiary care referral hospital. Dr. Anderson has been a longtime volunteer for the American Diabetes Association (ADA), having served two separate terms on its national board of directors, as chair of the National Advocacy Committee and co-chair of the Health Reform Task Force. In 2013, Dr. Anderson received the ADA’s Banting Medical for services as President, Medicine & Science. In addition to his primary care practice, Dr. Anderson continues to lecture both nationally and internationally, with a focus on improving the care of people with diabetes in the primary care setting.
