Sales Operations Specialist

FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Summary:

The Sales Operations Specialist is a member of the Sales & Marketing team at Employers Health, responsible for working strategically with department leadership along with the sales and marketing team to plan and execute the annual growth strategy. This position’s responsibilities include maximizing operational infrastructure, including the organization’s Customer Relationship Management platform (CRM) that enables the team’s productivity and success. In addition, this role also assists in reporting, forecasting and budgeting for the team. The position will be based in the organization’s Canton, Ohio office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and continuously improve the organization’s CRM (Salesforce) and Marketing Automation Platform (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement) databases and software.
  • Ensure accuracy of current data, research and input new contacts, accounts and leads.
  • Execute automated marketing campaigns, maintain marketing lists in the organization’s CRM system and conduct list audits and clean-up.
  • Assist in the direct solicitation of event attendees utilizing Marketing Cloud Account Engagement emails, direct mail, social networking and face-to-face meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal Salesforce and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement users to continuously improve the software and create processes used consistently by the team.
  • Work collaboratively with members of the marketing and communications team to develop and execute strategies that support business development opportunities.
  • Respond quickly, thoroughly and accurately to internal/external requests, including Salesforce reporting and meet established deadlines for assigned projects.
  • Identify areas to contribute that assist the sales and marketing teams and create efficiencies.
  • Plan and facilitate various team meetings.
  • Attend and assist at company events as assigned.
  • Assist other staff members with projects on an as-needed basis.
  • Assist sales professionals with pipeline reporting.
  • Complete analytic requests related to bid submissions.
  • Review bid submissions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ability to take direction and use common sense to complete tasks.
  • Knowledgeable and compliant with all organizational policies and procedures, as outlined in the Employers Health employee handbook.

  • Ability to learn and articulate complex concepts related to pharmacy benefits administration and health care benefits.
  • Excellent project management, planning and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in business technology including Microsoft Office.
  • Salesforce and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement experience a plus.
  • Willingness to contribute positively, both as a team member and as a self-starter, to a growing team in an ever-changing environment.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of the health care industry and/or human resource activities a plus.

Travel Required:

  • 5-10% travel required including overnight, in and out of state.
  • This position is based in Employers Health’s Canton, Ohio office.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • No supervisory responsibility.
