Steven Burger, MBA, CPA
As chief financial officer, Steve provides oversight for financial reporting, tax compliance, budgeting, treasury and risk management. He also works with the board treasurer to provide finance-related updates to the organization’s board of directors.
Steve is a current board member and past president and treasurer of the of Beacon Charitable Pharmacy, a charitable pharmacy in Canton, OH. He serves as treasurer of the Akron Area Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), a member of the Stark State College Foundation Board and the Stark Community Foundation Audit Committee. Steve was a member of the United Way of Greater Stark County’s 2020 Campaign Cabinet serving as chairman of the nonprofit division.
He is an alumnus of Walsh University and remains active at the university by serving on the President’s Advisory Board, Deville School of Business Advisory Board, Accounting Advisory Board and as a mentor. He has served as an adjunct instructor at Stark State College, teaching accounting-related courses.
In 2015 Steve was honored as the Crain’s Cleveland Business – CFO of the Year. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Walsh University, as well as his MBA. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of Leadership Stark County.
